Amazing that I got a few decent pics of them BOTH looking at the camera and smiling (thanks, Auntie Julie). Jake was actually pretty happy to be the big brother with Mia sitting in his lap. They looked so cute in their fancy Easter clothes :)

10 months old

She's really not a baby anymore.....10 months old already (and yes, I do realize that I say that every month). She is at SUCH a fun age! The happiest girl.....she smiles all the time, giggles when you tickle or play with her, chats up a storm, waves hello and goodbye, claps her hands, and too many other things to list! She is starting to nap better and still ADORES her big brother. Time is going to by too quickly!

One of the guys

You can't even imagine how excited Jake was when one of the gardeners allowed him to mow alongside him. If only I had it on video.....they were walking side by side up....then back....then up....then back. It was so sweet of the guy to let Jake tag along.....however, Jake REALLY thinks that he is "one of the guys" now. He wanted to help ALL of them and do EVERYTHING. He kept telling me "mommy, I have to go outside....the guys need my help"....then, he started heading over to their pickup truck and said, "I'm just gonna go and get a blower out of there". I assured him that his toy blower would work just fine. Needless to say, I spent an hour and a half making sure that he didn't get in the way too much.....I'm hoping his memory fades a little by the time the gardeners come again next week, but I have a feeling he'll let me know RIGHT when his new work crew has arrived. Maybe now that the warmer weather is approaching, I can convince him that being the "lemonade guy" would be just as helpful ;)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well, we had a lot of fun on St. Patrick's Day! Jake was pretty excited about the "eprechauns" and all of the "sneaky" things they did around our house! They put green sprinkles in his oatmeal, turned the water in the toilet green, and even turned his ice cream green! In fact, of the photo of him next to the green toilet water, I think he looks a little bit like a leprechaun! Mia joined in with her green flowered top.....and believe it or not, I wore something OTHER than a black shirt with my jeans that day....yup, you guessed it....green. Everything is more fun through the eyes of these kids!

This adorable outfit belonged to Quinn.....she had her 1 year picture taken in it and I kept thinking of her cute smile today when Mia wore it to a birthday party. Of course, it reminds me of my Punk and Quinn because of it's French "theme". Miss you guys!!!!

Uncle Kirt is a Danville Police Officer!!!! We got to go and visit him at the Police Station and check out his cool car. Jake wasn't quite sure what to make of him "in uniform", but Mia cozied right up!

Girly Girl

Auntie Staci made Mia this adorable tutu for Valentine's Day and I couldn't wait to get some pics of her in it! It's SO fun dressing up a little girl!! First it was Bailey who had to put up with me dressing him up and taking pictures....then Jake.....and now Mia! Of course she'll probably grow up to hate dresses and all things frilly, so I have to do it while I can! Thanks, Auntie Staci for the tutu and Grammie for helping me take the pictures!!

Naptime?

Jake was supposed to be napping but he heard the gardeners in the yard and he is obsessed with mowers, leaf blowers, edgers, etc.....I heard some rustling on his monitor, which turned out to be the sound of him pushing his head out of the corner of the blinds :)

Cabin with Auntie Julie and Uncle Tim

Another fun weekend at the cabin.....did some sledding, some skiing, and lots of playing! Snow is so much fun with the kids! We had the best of both worlds....there was snow on the ground to enjoy, but the sun was shining.....beautiful weekend!
