Monster Jam 2012

We had a bunch of friends in a suite at Monster Jam this year and had a great time....apparently so much so that we didn't take very many pictures!

Yankee's Tee Ball 2012

Jake started his first season of "real" tee-ball. As luck would have it, he ended up on the Yankees and has a amazing coach. Though he looks pretty serious in his first picture there, he is loving every minute and I am having SO much fun watching. Who knows....one day I just may be a baseball fan! One thing's for sure...I love watching my little man play ball!

Motocross 2012

Jake and I went on a special outing together. Jake LOVES watching motocross and he was mesmerized watching it in person. We go the VIP treatment with the Pappas family....so fun. Jake was thrilled (though he looks stoned in the picture) about meeting Carey Hart.....and none of the moms in our suite were complaining either! Though I never really saw myself as a motocross girl, I do LOVE doing special things like this with my little man.

Movin', movin', movin'.......

Who knew that playing in a moving truck in the dark could be so much fun! Here are the kids "helping" us. The next morning they were riding scooters down the ramp instead :)

FIRST night in her big girl "flower bed".  It was a whirlwind of a weekend and she seemed like such a big girl hopping up into bed and going right to sleep.  Knock on wood, she has been sleeping great and seems to be quite comfy in her new bed.  Can't believe she was in a crib just a few days ago....where did my baby go?!

For Jake and Mia, having a fire = having hot chocolate with marshmallows!  So, we enjoyed our first cups of cocoa in the new house, in front of our new fireplace.

Valentine's Day 2012

 Making Valentine's Cookies for all of our friends ;)

 Heart shaped pancakes!  And though I didn't take pictures of the rest of our day, there were heart shaped sandwiches for lunch and a heart shaped pizza for dinner.  You know I'm a sucker for a theme!

 I didn't quite get around to sending Valentine cards this year with all of the house "drama", but I did try to snap a few photos of the kids.

Julie sent me this one of Tyler....LOVE him!  And he's wearing the shirt from Jake's first Valentine's Day too :)

Wallace Visit January 2012

It had been way too long since we'd seen the Wallace crew....but as usual, we started right where we left off. Our kids ADORE each other, which is so fun to watch. Loved every minute of their visit and we can't WAIT to see them again this summer!!

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve with the Braga's.....it's a tradition! I'm a big fan of celebrating East Coast time.....we say it's for the kids, but the truth is that they would be totally fine to stay up until midnight!

Owie

Well, we had our first "owie" that required a visit to the Dr. About 1/2 hour after I returned home from the annual SF holiday trip with Mom and Julie (yes, this is an old post that I forgot to make!), Mia ran full speed into the granite tile counter in the kitchen. This counter is at the worst height for toddlers and more than a few kids have "bonked" it....but this was the first real injury. Brian stayed with Jake while I took MIa to urgent care. Can't tell you how thankful I am to the genius who decided to try using super glue on injuries like this instead of stitches! We arrived at the Dr. and Mia was her usual self....of course she bonked her head on the chair in the waiting room and it started bleeding a lot more! The Dr. had her lay on her back, he dropped some medical grade super glue on it, let it dry.....and voila! NO tears, no pain....I'm a big fan! Mia will have a small scar on her forehead probably, but it turned out to be no big deal! Whew!
